' The Prophet of the New Millennium '

A Search for Principles in an Unprincipled World

It would seem that one of mankind’s most virulent talents is to throw the baby out with the bath-water. The demise of communism has seen the burgeoning of a capitalism as callous as it is all-consuming; the waning of religion has witnessed an erosion in ethics which could well herald mankind’s annihilation.

The offences of both the Bush administration and that of Mr Blair would not have been possible in a world where principles were still in place.

Of course tired ethics lead to a lethargic society. But the answer is not to abandon them, but re-invigorate them: all of us collectively and each of us individually. Ethics only work if we believe in them. We rarely believe in that which is enforced on us.

Gregory Dark’s book, ‘The Prophet of the New Millennium’, in searching for principles in this unprincipled age of ours, will help all those involved in such a search. Which, if mankind is to be saved from extinction, finally means all of us.
