As well as being a parent Titus is a grandparent: He is kidnapped with his grandson by guerrillas in Colombia. Roni is a Scots woman whose son, in 24 hours, will be executed in the United States by lethal injection.

Written with Dark’s customary polish, ‘Titus and Roni’ is as elegant in its telling as it is electric in its tale.
